Utrecht Science Park Night Run - powered by Runnersworld Utrecht 

On Friday evening, November 20th, the second edition of the Utrecht Science Park Night Run – powered by Runnersworld Utrecht takes place!
You’ll run through the darkness along an atmospheric, illuminated course, passing light installations, live music, bands, and surprising entertainment along the way.
It’s a unique blend of sport and experience, perfect for anyone who loves running and a vibrant atmosphere. And with official timekeeping, it’s very much a real race.
After the run, there’s a lively afterparty where you can celebrate your achievement together with other participants!

There are several distances to choose from, making it suitable for both beginner and experienced runners. You can take part in the 5 km, 10 km, or 15 km runs, all held on a 5 km course. And of course, young runners haven’t been forgotten there's a special 800 meter and 1.5 km Night Run just for kids.

Participation

The Kids Run is intended for children aged 6 to 12. For children aged 6–9, the distance is 800 meters, and for children aged 10–12, the distance is 1.5 km.
The minimum age for the 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km distances is 12 years.

If you’re a student, you’ll receive a 25% discount on your registration!

Send an email to info@uspnightrun.nl using your school or student email address, include your school or student ID number, and you’ll receive a discount code for your entry. 

Group Discount

Participating with a group and purchasing at least 10 tickets in one order? Then you’ll receive a 10% discount on all tickets in that order the discount will be applied automatically! You can combine different ticket types within the same order.

On Friday evening, November 20, 2026 is the Utrecht Science Park Night Run. Below are the start times for all distances of the Utrecht Science Park Night Run. The venue opens at 6:00 PM.

Start times

6.30 PM - Start kidsrun 800m

6.45 PM - Start kidsrun 1,5 km

7.15 PM - Start 15 km

8.15 PM - Start 10 km

8.15 PM - Start 5 km

Till 11.00 PM - Afterparty

Start Location

The start and finish will take place at the Sportcentrum Olympos: Uppsalalaan 3, 3584 CT Utrecht. Here you’ll also find the information desk, baggage drop-off, registration desks, food and drinks, and the afterparty location. After the run, you can relax and enjoy some snacks and drinks here.

The start/finish area closes at 11:00 PM.

Accessibility

The start and finish of the Utrecht Science Park Night Run will take place at the Sportcentrum Olympos: Uppsalalaan 3, 3584 CT Utrecht.
How do I get there by bike?
We advise participants to come by bike as much as possible. A large bicycle parking area is available. Please make sure to lock your bike!
  • If you are coming from Archimedeslaan, follow the route Sorbonnelaan – Heidelberglaan – Universiteitsweg to reach the sports center Olympos.
  • If you are coming from Weg tot de Wetenschap, follow Heidelberglaan – Universiteitsweg.

Road Closures
Uppsalalaan will be closed to incoming traffic (from Universiteitsweg) from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
During this time frame, the following cycle paths will also be closed: the cycle path on Uppsalalaan, the cycle path between Hoofddijk, the cycle path along Leuvenlaan, and Leuvenlaan itself between Padualaan and Universiteitsweg. In addition, Hoofddijk, Sorbonnelaan, Budapestlaan, and Harvardlaan will be closed.
Several pedestrian paths on the north side of Heidelberglaan will also be closed.

Detours will be indicated via the cycle path along Heidelberglaan.

How to get there by car?
If you are coming from further away, the USP Night Run is also easily accessible by car. Take exit 2 Utrecht Science Park on the A28 motorway.
Parking is available at P+R Utrecht Science Park: Universiteitsweg, 3584 CT Utrecht. (maximum daily rate €15). From there, it is less than 500 meters to both the start area and Olympos (for bib number collection and bag drop).

How to get there by public transport?
Utrecht Science Park is also easily accessible by public transport. From Utrecht Central Station, you can take the express tram to Utrecht Science Park (line 20), among other options. Get off at the final stop. You can also checkwww.9292.nl for up-to-date travel information.
